Its OK that you missed your call with me, I understand.
Really I do. You’re not the first person who didn’t show up on Skype without cancelling and you won’t be the last. I had 5 meetings scheduled for today with people who had come to me asking for advice, and only one of them ran, the others either cancelled or didn’t turn up without any warning.
And I do understand. Its because you’re scared.
I understand because I’ve done it myself, when I am afraid of what the end result of the call is going to be. When I’m worried that the person will make me take action or admit to a weakness and I don’t want to. I’m not proud of that but I can see now why I did it and I am big enough to admit it. I was scared. And so I walked away. I let the other person down because I was afraid that if I went through with it I’d have to do something, and that it might not work. And so, sometimes its easier to do nothing.
It can be hard to ask for help, to show vulnerability and open you and your business up for constructive feedback. It can be difficult to admit that your business isn’t where you want it to be and to accept that you can’t get it there yourself.
But lets be honest. If you can’t make the first step of turning up for a call then really, you’re not going to be able to make the next steps of taking action afterwards. And I don’t want to work with people unless they are going to take action.
I get that. I really do.
Building a good relationship with your coach or mentor from the start is really important. What a lot of people don’t realise is that its a two way street. Each person on the initial call is making a decision about whether they want to work with the other person. If I don’t feel as though I can help you grow your business I’ll tell you that. If I think that we’re not right to work together, I’ll direct you elsewhere. That wasn’t always the case, but it sure as hell is now.
I’m 100% committed to showing up everywhere in my business that I say I’m going to show up. If you book a call with me I will be there. If we have a coaching call I will be there. If I need to tell you to step up and do the work I will tell you to step up and do the work. I’m no longer afraid of showing up as me and being who I need to be in order to get you the results that you need.
I’m 100% committed to making your business a success.
Are you?
Because if you’re not, then I can’t help you. But if you are - then book another call, show up and lets do this.
