Social Media made me £2,700 today. And I wasn’t even really working in the strictest sense of the word. I got up this morning, took the children to school as usual and then went for a massage. (ouch - deep tissue massage is good but painful!) I came home and wrote lots of content for my membership club, engaged with a couple of people on twitter, posted in some Facebook groups and sent out some emails on Linkedin. I spent an hour working on a Linkedin email campaign for one of my most lovely customers and then I had a discovery call with a business coach who contacted me for support with her social media through a Facebook group we’re in.
We spent an hour or so on Skype and talked about what she needed help with, where she was now in her business and where she wanted to be in 6 months time. I explained how I could help her and what return she could expect to get on her investment with me. At the end of the hour I sent her a Paypal invoice and the money was with me within a couple of hours. Simple.

My business provides a gorgeous lifestyle for me and my 4 children. We have everything that we need and I work while they are at school and “mum” the rest of the time.
Some of my clients have huge 6 figure businesses, but most of them work 40+ hours a week and have invested tens of thousands of dollars into their business.
I’ve done it a different way.
I have a business coach and am a member of a mastermind group which stretches me both financially and emotionally. I think investing in yourself is hugely important but it has to be on your terms.
I turned down a 6 figure contract about 18 months ago because it would have meant me leaving the house at 6am and not getting home till 7pm at the earliest. I didn’t leave my husband and the security of our life together to then leave my children with a childminder all day every day.
The most important thing in my life is being there for my children, I have to be able to work while they are at school and spend afternoons, evenings and school holidays with them.
That’s what I’ve built using social media. I’ve helped my customers build different businesses for them, ones that they want - ones that are right for them.
